Summary of original video

From listening to the song and seeing the opening scene of the video you would think that it’s about terror and the heartache of the artist and her surroundings. However as you start to watch the video you see that it’s the complete opposite. This video is set in Nneka’s home town in Africa, and we see her performing in the streets with people walking past her and carrying on with their everyday lives as they usually would. Most of the scenes in this video show Nneka having fun dancing and singing. We also see scenes of children having fun and playing innocently. The lyrics and the visuals contradict each other in this video and that is not a convention you see being used much.
